ABOUT US

SOFERstore.com is established in Jerusalem by Torah scholar and sofer Dovid Eliyahu Zboryk with believe that kosher mezuzah must be on every door of Jewish home and kosher tefillin must be put on by every Jew. The teaching of sofrut is a part of Torah given to Moishe Rabbeinu on Mount Sinai. This teaching was carefully transferred in all details from one sofer to another from Revelation on Mount Sinai to our days. Dovid Eliyahu learned sofrut from Rav Isroel Chaimann SHILTA who is one of the major students of Rav Davidovich SHLITA.

Today SOFERstore includes the team of professional Israeli scribes and Torah scholars. All writings are examiners certified by Beit Din. Every mezuzah and parashat tefillin goes through professional computer scan and scrutinously examined by certified proofreader. You directly support Torah learning and Israeli families every time you make a purchase on SOFERstore.com.

All the products on our website are produced in Israel. We are happy to have a beautiful collection of mezuzah covers produced by best Israeli designers and we continue to add new masterpieces to enrich our mezuzah cover collection.

Our scribes are Torah scholars. We all study in kolels/yeshivas full day or half a day. You directly support Torah learning and Israeli families every time you make a purchase on SOFERstore.com

We also do checking mezuzot and tefillin. We refurbish batim if it is halachically possible. You can visit us in Jerusalem or send us your mezuzot or tefillin for checking and repair. Contact us to arrange a meeting.

Why Siddur with an interlinear translation  is it important?

Kavonah (concentration) is the most important element of Jewish prayer. The basic kavonah is concentration on the meaning of the words. We should understand the meaning of every word we say. The common way for Baaley Teshuvah is to start davening in their speaking language when they understand the meaning of all words. Then they switch to Hebrew and forget the meaning of many words. The traditional translation on the left side is good for learning but it doesn’t work for davening. One may search for translation of the word on the left page at the cost of losing concentration (kavonah) of prayer.

The solution is siddur with an interlinear translation where each word translated right under the original word in Hebrew. This siddur proved his importance for English speaking audience and now it became available for Russian speakers bringing Geulah closer with every word of the davening.
